Amazon.co.uk Review A well-loved classic game of nerve and chance, Pop-Up Pirate is barrels of explosive fun.To set the game up, there is a small amount of assembly to be done, with stickers to carefully stick on to decorate the barrel and base. Press the pirate down and he locks into the barrel in such a way that he will be popped up randomly when a sword is pushed in--and nobody knows which sword will be the one! Players select a set of swords of their favourite colour and take it in turns to choose a slot, hoping that they won't be the one to make the pirate pop up with a start. Once the pirate has been popped, the remaining players take out their swords and start to play again until only the winner is left. Every time you push the pirate back into the barrel, the hole which will make the him pop up changes, making Pop-Up Pirate a tense and exciting game in which you never know who is going to be the one to launch the pirate into space. --Rachel Ediss 2 to 4 players.

Pop Up Pirate - Fun for all September 6, 2010 salbw I bought this product for my three year old son for when we go away in our caravan, however he found the game before we went away. It does say that it is suitable for 4+years however I think that it is extremely helpful to assist in your child learning their colours. My son is really enjoying the game, even though he believes that he is the winner if the pirate pops up!! Good fun for all the family.
good game but....... August 27, 2010 Ms. L. Rimington a good game but when you put the swords into the barrel you have to hold on to it. shame really other then that my 3 year old loves playing with it with me and her dad. wish the barrel could click into place though. because of that reason i think they should put the price down a bit.
As good as ever. August 4, 2010 Weenie16 Great! Just one snag. The barrel slides off the base so have to hold it while playing. Still good though.
excellent July 27, 2010 dawn I love this game it is one of our favourites, for the following reasons:
- the winner is unpredictable, this means that it is fair and grandparents etc cannot 'let the kids win' so they learn about losing
- it doesn't take too long so you can either slot it in before bedtime when you have promised a game or play it a few times
- it is surprisingly durable and puts up with being bashed about
- it is simple to play so all ages can enjoy it
Kids Love It May 6, 2010 Neil Morey Nice game to keep the kids ammused.
Just do not lead over the top of the game, the pirate pops out at some speed :)
