Editorial Reviews:
Product Description For use with the brilliant V.Smile Learning System, this brightly coloured second player Joystick can be used by left or right-handed players for maximum fun! Chunky buttons help children explore fun interactive adventures on the screen, while light-up buttons reinforce learning. This joystick doesn't use batteries so waste no time and get learning!

Customer Reviews: Use with Care November 26, 2009 Anonymous (England) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I would not advise letting a small person set this up on their own, however much they insist they can. We had to buy this product because the joystick that came with the computer became unusable when the connecting plug became damaged after it somehow twisted in its moulded housing and while we were trying to fix it, we managed to bend most of the pins. The problem is that the joystick's plug into the computer is a "DIN" type rather than a simpler design, so it could be a bit more robust and given the cost of the possible repair it was cheaper to buy another one. This proved to be harder than we anticipated as not many places sell the joystick separately from the main unit. Apart from all that, my four year old loves the computer and has had an awful lot of fun with it, so we will be getting a mains adaptor soon! We found that the suggested age range is a bit optimistic, because he really had difficulty using it for a few months, despite being a bright kid. Perhaps the designers assume that the child has been through the baby range first.
