A facebank is a money box created by Banpresto, when this little bank detects movement it begins to interact and get ready to swallow all of your loose change. Simply put coins near it's mouth, and the Face Bank will chew and swallow them. Designed by Eiichi Takado, Face Bank has achieved both critical and popular acclaim. Short listed in the Japan Media Arts Festival (Entertainment Division), face bank has become an icon of Japanese popular culture. Following it's launch in Japan, Face Bank has developed a huge following with Face Bank aficionados posting their creative videos on youtube. To date over 2000 video clips have been posted generating in excess of 10 million views.
