My grandson aged 3 is heavily into robots and loves putting money in and out of this robot as it talks to him!! My daughter, his mum, however, finds it a bit spooky as it reacts to her every time she passes it - flashing its lights and chatting!! Overall a great success!
Robobank December 9, 2009 K. Ashurst (England) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have only had a quick play with the Robobank as I have bought it for my 7 year old son for christmas but from what I can see he is really going to enjoy having him. As well as telling you what coin you have just entered and counting them, you can also set a target. He will try to persuade you not to take any money out. The Robobank is also motion sensored. When you pass his sensors he moves his arms and give you a comment like 'I'm hungry, feed me coins' or something like that. There is also a clock with an alarm. All you need to encourage little ones to save and to get them up in the mornings.Science Museum - Robot Bank

This is great at counting money, but sometimes it makes mistakes accidently. You can set a target, and it tells you the time & date. You can also set an alarm. This is quite good and the batteries last 4 months approx. This is worth the money. The robot talks and moves its arms aswell, and if you think it is annoying, you can turn the sound off. This has no on/off button or switch.
