dyson toy review June 26, 2010 gemzn85 The 1st one of these i ordered for my sons 2nd birthday, had to be sent back, after him using it for 2 hours the hose on the back came away from the back of the hoover and it was splitting, dont know whether this is poor product or just a fault, the other one seems ok for now..........
Had Promise but Failed! May 22, 2010 CK (Glastonbury, UK) Would I buy another one? NO. My 3 year old and 16 month old did enjoy the novelty of this vacuum but once the front piece had started breaking off, which was within a few days, it kinda lost its appeal. Although you can push it back on, bits of the brittle plastic break off and then it just won't do the vacuuming motion any more or stand up properly.
The suction is hardly worth mentioning and the compartment, therefore, just becomes yet another part to be bashed about. The coloured foam inside the cyclinder is quite appealing but the noise becomes really annoying if they forget to switch it off! All that, together with the fact that one of the replica attachments does not fit snugly on the vacuum and continually falls out, makes this a pretty wasted effort both financially and for playtime.
My boys now have a go with my Dyson, after me, instead!
Casdon 610 Tou Dyson DC14 March 8, 2010 J. Webster (UK) My two year old daughter loves this toy and now vacuums along side me instead of demanding to have a turn with my Dyson. She can easily switch it on and off herself although the tools are a little harder for her to work out. Overall, an excellent purchase.
Fantastic fun - but lasted less than 3 weeks! February 22, 2010 J. Sanders (West Midlands, UK) My son loves this toy Dyson - it's the right height for him to push around, it has realistic attachments for him to take on and off, and it really does suck up paper with the 'wand' attachment.
Unfortunately, it's ridiculously flimsy. He's had it less than 3 weeks, and it's now completely useless. Little pieces of plastic break off quite easily - which is not only dangerous if you have younger children about, but means parts no longer fit or work properly. The wand won't fit in its holder anymore, and my son's persistence has resulted in trapped fingers. The flexible hose came off extremely easily and won't go back on, so it obviously no longer works as a vacuum cleaner. It doesn't stand up anymore, and when being pushed, the front turns under itself and makes it unstable and a potential tripping hazzard.
It's an attractive toy, and a fantastic idea - but it is so flimsy it could become dangerous, and is appalling value for money. Extremely disappointing...
Dyson Hoover review January 16, 2010 JMc (England) My son loves the hoover as it is just like mummy's. The hoover did break on Christmas day but we received a replacement before the original went back. Excellent service. Well worth the money as it keeps my son happy for hours
