| Customer Reviews: Excellent for 5years + January 15, 2010 Mar (Ireland) I bought the Leapster 2 for my 5 year old son for Christmas, 2008. He has since got a Nintendo DS but he does rotate between the DS and the Leapster which I am delighted with as I was afraid that the Leapster would be discarded. This is the 4th game I have got him for his Leapster and it is a BIG hit. It deals mainly with simple maths and as he is in his first year of school it is perfect for him! He is becoming familiar with adding / subtracting (even though some puzzles are a bit too advanced for him). I would definitely recommend Leapster products as an excellent educational tool for young children.
Must buy May 2, 2009 Lisa Thomson (Inverness UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought this game for my 6yr olds bithday, he loves it and i have tried it a few times too, addictive and great fun. He has 5 leapster games and this one is the most used, highly recommend it. I have also bought it as a gift for another child and he loves it too.
Brilliant maths game... January 6, 2009 Mrs. V. E. M. Jones (North Wales) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
My 5 year old son wanted this because his older cousin has Sonic on the Wii - it was actually a really good choice. He is really enjoying playing it and I have used the online parent features today and was able to see how long he had played for and how well he had done on various levels such as subtraction and ordering numbers. I'm pleased that my son is enojoying the game so much and am really impressed with the stuff for parents.
A great introduction to Sonic! February 14, 2008 C. Tripp (Manchester, UK) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
Both my children play this. It's fast enough to keep the 6 year old interested and easy enough for the 3 year old to move around yet challenging in finding the relevant numbers. They both picked it up quickly and they love it!
excellent for capturing the child's attention January 17, 2008 L. Hardy (Nottingham) 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
I bought this game for my son (3 1/2yrs) at Christmas. He absolutely loves it, seeing it as a "grown up" game. The game is based on Sonic, who has to solve simple maths questions to ensure his captured friend is released. The first stages are ideal for this age group - letting them become familiar with numbers and numerical order. Although my son has lots of other Leapster games (Madagascar is also a favourite), this is certainly his favourite - i'm just amazed at how much he has learned already.
