The Spitfire gained imortality during the Battle of Britain in the summer of 1940. The main role was to intercept and destroy the Luftwaffe's fighters whilst the Hurricanes of the RAF attacked the incoming bombers.  Humbrol paints required: 24 Trainer Yellow, 29 Dark Earth, 30 Dark Green, 33 Matt Black, 70 Brick Red, 56 Aluminium, 90 Beige Green.
