Thomas remote Steam EngineJanuary 7, 2009 Sasha7089(Kent, UK) I purchased this for my son who is just over 2 years and it has been a real hit ! He loves it and got the hang of the simple controls and thinks its faciniating that cold water comes out of the funnel. It has been very durable and is still on the same batteries, has a push along mode when bored of the remote controls he switches it over himself depending on what he wants to do. Definately recommended, worth paying the money for.

We have had this for a year now and it has been a big hit and has proved to be very durable and easy on batteries too (he whistles to remind you to turn him off when he is not being used). I bought it for my 2 year old who is now 3. He soon got used to the controls, they are very easy to operate even for little fingers. Thomas moves forwards and turns around. He plays a tune as he moves which is not too annoying for us adults. My son loves the steam feature which is totally safe (it is just cold water vapor). You can also set Thomas to manual where he can be pushed along by the child and plays his tune as he goes (great if your child is finding the remote control tricky).
